How was this concept developed?

The concept was developed by taking into account all of the things addressed thus far on this site as well as many other factors. It's designed to not only be visually appealing but to work for the school on mulitple planes of functionality and budget. Cues were also taken from professional and collegiate logos, as well as the those things positively associated with Redskins in history.

How were the Redskin colors chosen?

The Redskin colors were chosen for a number of reasons. Being that the 'W' is the only red area on the mark it is easily converted to one or two colors. This can save money when printing and widen the possibilities of use. The logo can be used on top of any solid color. When placed on red it really 'pops' and makes a bold statement. This also draws attention to the 'W', further connecting it to the rest of the marks containing it. Also, when paired with 'Wapakoneta Redskins' there is more of a visual balance in color.
